Dear Constituents,

Just East of Bay Street is vacant land – 11 Wellesley Street West – that is currently owned by the Province of Ontario. The land was identified through the Community Action Plan process as the last piece of land in the Bay Cloverhill and Church-Wellesley neighbourhoods that could be developed into park space.

As a result, I have been working with the Ontario Government and Ward 27 Councillor, Kristyn Wong-Tam, to secure this land for park space and recreation.

As a part of this process, I also prepared a deck of statistics and photos highlighting the situation of park space and development in Toronto and the neighbourhoods surrounding 11 Wellesley Street West.
